 LO- I can explore water colour and understand the different effects I can achieve. 

As an introduction to our new text ‘The Smeds and the Smoos’ we talked about aliens and had a discussion about whether they are real or not. We watched a video that explained we needed water, oxygen and food to live and that at the moment there is no evidence of life on any other planet.  We then used playdoh and loose parts to make our own aliens. 

 To end our DT topic on cooking and nutrition we made fruit salads. We learnt how to cut fruit safely and prepared our salads in class and then took them home to share with our families. 

 Today we had great fun with a skipping workshop. First we warmed up our bodies then we learned how to hold the rope properly before learning to skip!

 Today we went on a walk around the local area. We talked about the need for road awareness and how to be safe on the roads. As we walked we kept a tally of all the street furniture we could find, we were particularly amazed by the number of lamp posts around our school. Once at Gurnard Green we looked at the different human and physical features we could see, a great addition to our recent geography learning.
