 We had a fantastic time with Peter from ‘Wonderstruck Science on Fire’. He showed us the fun in pushes, pulls and forces.  We saw smoke rings, rockets, beds of nails, explosions and bangs Well done to Stanley who was able to  correctly identify that fire needed fuel and oxygen to burn. 

 LO- I can explore water colour and understand the different effects I can achieve. 

As an introduction to our new text ‘The Smeds and the Smoos’ we talked about aliens and had a discussion about whether they are real or not. We watched a video that explained we needed water, oxygen and food to live and that at the moment there is no evidence of life on any other planet.  We then used playdoh and loose parts to make our own aliens. 

 To end our DT topic on cooking and nutrition we made fruit salads. We learnt how to cut fruit safely and prepared our salads in class and then took them home to share with our families.
