Science - How do we know it is Autumn?

After missing science last week, due to the Queen's funeral, we had lots to do today! We began by recapping what we knew about Summer, and what changes we might expect to see now it is Autumn. We identified changes in:

- weather

- plant and animal behaviour

- activities and clothing

We then went on a hunt outside to find 'evidence' of autumn in our area. We used Identification keys and photos to help us identify and classify what we had found, which included; oak leaves, acorns, pinecones, mushrooms, alder leaves, birch leaves, and horse chestnut leaves.

Finally, we sketched a diagram of our 'evidence' and labelled it.
