Science - What was our summer like?

LO: I can observe and describe weather associated with the seasons.

 Today we had our first proper Year One Science lesson with Mrs Loizos. We looked at a book called 'Tree' and how the tree changes over the year. We then explored three images; daffodils, sunflowers, and trees with orange leaves. After sharing our thoughts about each picture, we had to choose which one was the odd one out. Most of us chose the trees, because they have leaves and not petals, and because we thought this was autumn season and the others were spring and summer. Finally, we explored our own summer, thinking about what we did and how we knew that it was summer season. Mrs Loizos loved finding out about everyone's holidays!
