Art - Observational drawing of feathers

Today in our art lesson we did some observational drawings of feathers. We were looking closely at the shape, colour, light / dark and detail. We experimented with using pencils, charcoal and oil pastels. Everyone produced some amazing and detailed sketches.

Christmas has arrived in Castlehaven Class

We were very excited to come in this morning and find the classroom had been decorated over night! We are loving the Christmas tree and all the lights. We also have a Christmas post office and the children have been busy writing cards, lists and letters to Father Christmas and their friends and family.

English - I can draw a story plan

As part of our work focussed around The Three Little Pigs, the children in year 1 drew the story plan of the story. We started off by retelling the story and then going through the key 6 points from the story. The children then drew those key 6 points and coloured them in.
