Reading for pleasure

 In Year One we love to read! We have regular story times where an adult reads to us. We also have time to read to an adult on our own. It is also important to have time to read - just because we want to read and enjoy it! The children are loving snuggling down with a good book.  Either reading quietly on their own or sharing a book with a friend.

English - I can draw a story plan

 As part of our work focussed around The Three Little Pigs, the children in year 1 drew the story plan of the story.  We started off by retelling the story and then going through the key 6 points from the story. The children then drew those key 6 points and coloured them in.  Have a look at some of our fantastic pieces of work.
