Science - Can we identify and classify?

 Today we explored Autumn in more detail, by finding a range of leaves and seeds, and using images and identification keys to classify them. We managed to independently classify:

- oak leaves and acorns

- pinecones and pine leaves (needles)

- horse chestnut leaves and conkers

- ivy

- beech leaves

- sycamore leaves and sycamore seeds (helicopters)

 As part of our work focussed around The Three Little Pigs, the children in year 1 drew the story plan of the story.  We started off by retelling the story and then going through the key 6 points from the story. The children then drew those key 6 points and coloured them in.  Have a look at some of our fantastic pieces of work.
