KS1 Harvest Festival Assembly

 Today, the children in KS1 had a visit from Rev. Dion from All Saints church. Dion came into school to talk to us about Harvest Festival and how Christians celebrate this time of the year.

Animal discovery

 Today we discovered a trapped animal in the school grounds. Year 1 were very eager to help the injured wild mammal, but had to be warned about keeping at a safe distance. We talked about who we should call in an animal emergency and the national charity: the RSPCA. We then acted out our great discovery in little groups and contacting the RSPCA to help. This is linked to our learning in English where a boy finds a whale in the story ‘The Storm Whale’.
