PSHE - I can understand and identify safe places to cross a road.

 For the new Autumn 2 Term, Year 1 are focussing on Road Safety and finding out all of the safe places that there are to cross a road. 

We started off the lesson by highlighting what we already know about road safety from our grown-up’s at home and our learning in reception. As you can see, we had a lot of knowledge on the subject. 

Once we established what we knew, we watched a short video about 2 boys playing with a ball near a road. The children had to decide the safest decision for the boys. 

We then focussed on the different types of crossings. We focussed mainly on zebra crossing’s today but we touched on all of them and will go over them all in more detail in our future lessons.
