English Hook - Oliver’s Vegetables

 Today we started our new unit in English. 

As a hook to our new book ‘Oliver’s Vegetables’ a big basket got delivered to the classroom. When we opened it we discovered lots of different vegetables. We looked at the vegetables and held them and smelt them. We spoke about which vegetables we like and how we like them cooked. Roast potatoes and chips were a favourite!

We then used the potatoes and carrots to do some printing with paint. We tried to make repeating patterns.
