Geography - To recognise the symbols used on ordnance survey maps.

 Today we had a look at maps. We looked at an ordnance survey map of the Isle of Wight. We then looked at the different symbols used and tried to work out what they represent. We used photo cards and matched them up to the correct symbol. We then Tried to spot the symbols on the big map.

 As part of our work focussed around The Three Little Pigs, the children in year 1 drew the story plan of the story.  We started off by retelling the story and then going through the key 6 points from the story.
