We practiced the tricky skill of measuring with rulers today. It was also really impressive to see the children try to estimate lengths as well…great job everyone.
Today in our art lesson we did some observational drawings of feathers. We were looking closely at the shape, colour, light / dark and detail. We experimented with using pencils, charcoal and oil pastels. Everyone produced some amazing and detailed sketches.
Today we looked at the different months of the year and tried to match them to the correct seasons. We found that by talking about our birthday months we could almost recall all twelve months of the year.
Mrs Yardley has asked every child in the school to make a Christmas card that will be delivered to a member of the local community. Today, Freshwater Class made their Christmas cards. The children had various different station that they could choose to work at, including a very popular glitter station. The children all produced some very personal and individual Christmas cards which they all put a lot of time and thought into. Well done Freshwater Class!
