 Belonging

Today we thought about what belonging means and what happens when we feel that we belong. This then extended to exploring how Jewish people use Shabbat to feel connected to their community. This time every week is a time where those of Jewish faith gather together, away from technology and share a meal and blessings. We also had a visit from Rev Dion who talked about belonging with regards to the Christian faith.

Art - Weaving

 Today we started our new art topic and looked at waving. We spoke about what weaving is and what it is used for. We identified different items in the classroom that have weaving. We found it in jumpers and baskets. We then used wire racks and ribbons to have a go at weaving. We practised waving our ribbons over and under.
