Animal discovery

 Today we discovered a trapped animal in the school grounds. Year 1 were very eager to help the injured wild mammal, but had to be warned about keeping at a safe distance. We talked about who we should call in an animal emergency and the national charity: the RSPCA.

We then acted out our great discovery in little groups and contacting the RSPCA to help. This is linked to our learning in English where a boy finds a whale in the story ‘The Storm Whale’.
